Feather Meal

Hydrolyzed feather meal is produced by hydrolyzing clean undecomposed feathers from poultry. The Sanctuary uses the highest quality feather meal. These are feathers that are completely hydrolyzed using steam and pressure. No accelerate are used to speed this hydrolyzation process. The protein in feather meal is degraded the slowest by soil microbes. This extends the nitrogen availability in the soil to the plant.

Blood Meal

Whole blood meal is produced by spray drying at low temperatures, the fresh whole blood from processed animals. The fresh blood is collected in cooling tanks that utilize agitation to prevent coagulation of the fresh blood. The blood is centrifuged to remove foreign materials and then sprayed dried. Blood meal also offers an excellent source of natural iron.

Porcine Bone Meal

Steamed bone meal is the most natural form of calcium and phosphorus available to the plant. This dried and ground product is sterilized by cooking with steam under pressure. This material is produced exclusively from bones.

Poultry Meal

Poultry meal is the dried and rendered product from animal by-products. Like bone meal, this is an excellent source of calcium, phosphorus, and nitrogen. This material offers a slow microbial release of plant nutrients.

Fish Meal

The fish is ground, cooked and processed into a meal. Fish meal is rich in essential amino acids including lysine and methionine which offer excellent bio-stimulant properties. Plus, fish meal is easily digestible by the microbes.

Humates

The humates used are of the highest quality that are sourced from Western Canada and the South Western US.  These mine deliver a very rich, natural organic ingredient for plant and soil health.

Grain By-Products

Plant based nitrogen source that provides a high level of digestible energy to the microbial populations. This ingredient also contains simple sugars and complex starches that provide an immediate surge of energy.

Meth-Ex 40®

Meth-Ex 40® is a slow release nitrogen source composed of varying lengths of methylene urea polymers. Meth-Ex 40 provides a microbial release nitrogen source that continuously releases nitrogen over a 16 week period of time.

Urea

This is a non-protein nitrogen that provides a high nitrogen source to aid with thatch decomposition. Organic materials high in lignin require nitrogen and microbial activity to released these complex nitrogen reserves. Urea aids in this breakdown process. Plus, we use a stabilized urea that provide a slow release of nitrogen that reduces leaching from the soil.  This product also provides for a consistent release of nitrogen for residual color, growth and rooting.

Ammonium Sulfate

Ammonium Sulfate, (NH₄)₂SO₄, is an inorganic salt with a number of commercial uses. The most common use is as a soil fertilizer. It contains 21% nitrogen and 24% sulfur.

Sulfate of Potash

Sulfate of potash is a natural mined mineral. The sulfate of potash is derived from large deposits in the southwest areas of the US and is also sourced from Western Canada.

Amino Acids

The Sanctuary contains a wide range of essential amino acids for turf and plant health. These amino acids are essential for many of the internal plant processes to promote over resilience, stress tolerance and overall plant health. Listed are some key benefits that each of these amino acids provide to the plant. These amino acids are all common in Sanctuary products. As a key difference, these benefits are not found in traditional chemical fertilizer products.
